Mission Statement
My goal is to go through an old Amiga CD32 PD game compilation I played a lot as a child (named Power-Games (1994)(Media Team)(en-de)[!][Amiga-CD32-CDTV] in TOSEC terms) and recreate the games I encounter using Godot 4.
These conversions don’t need to be super detailed, I mainly intent to recreate the game mechanics and general structure to learn how to do this in Godot. Since most of these games will follow standard patterns, I guess this will get easier the further I go.
As I don’t want to spend to much time on assets, I’ll use CC0 assets or Stable Diffusion to create graphics. For sound effects, I’ll turn to SFXR and LabChirp, as well, as probably CC0 sounds from freesounds.org. Who knows, if one of the projects really catches me, I might put in some more effort, but my main philosophy will be “keep the f--k moving”. Finishing a project is more important than getting the details right.
This is more like a personal thought journal.
